Why Choose Cavity?

Training and Apprenticeships: Shaping the Best Dental Nurses in the Nation.

At Cavity, we pride ourselves not only on training but also on providing apprenticeships that are a cut above the rest. Every member of our team, from tutors to assessors, are professional working dental nurses. They come with years of experience and hands-on knowledge that distinguishes us from other providers. This ensures you are learning from those deeply embedded in the dental field, not just in theory but in practical day-to-day tasks.

Moreover, many of our tutors and assessors possess advanced qualifications in areas such as orthodontics, radiography, and sedation. Their diverse backgrounds span across various dental settings: from mobile community units, hospitals, and prisons to the conventional high street practices and emergency dental hubs.

For budding students and apprentices, this vast pool of expertise means there’s always an answer, always a guiding hand, and always an opportunity to learn from the very best. With Cavity, you’re not just trained; you’re prepared for excellence, and our professional dental nurse tutors and assessors are here to lead the way.

Tanya Moon

Lead Internal Quality Assessor

I started my career in dental nursing in 2005 in a large NHS practice and immediately loved the role, supporting patients and clinicians. I have since worked in a private practice, in Dartmoor prison, in domiciliary dental care, as well as being an Oral Health Educator and Practice Manager before specialising in Education and Training. I am a qualified and experienced Assessor having worked with private training providers and in college settings and have also qualified as an Internal Quality Assurer. I am extremely excited and delighted to join Cavity Dental Training and cannot wait to support the next budding dental nurses to achieve a rewarding career.

I have been a dental nurse for 23 years and I love it just as much as the day I started if not more. I love being able to pass on my many years of wisdom and ways onto the younger folk. Which is why I joined the Cavity Training team. I love that my job role takes me into many different environments. Prisons and hospitals being my favourites.  With experience in everything from Sedation to Perio and Implants – I consider myself an extremely capable nurse completing my assessor and Tutor qualifications in 2022. Being a military wife I have moved around a lot. This included a 3 year posting to Cyprus which was amazing. Though this is the only time I didn’t nurse, I really missed it and could wait to get back into the surgery. I love being active and enjoy spinning and combat classes at the gym. I’m also a foodie and a feeder! I heal with food!
